I have a question, I am looking at getting a honda 300 and I don't really want to keep stock wheels and tires. I want to have IRS wheels and 27" tires. besides GR what is a good mod to do to be able to turn em without jumping into GR to soon? and what do you guys do for the rear spacing for running IRS wheels? thanks

You have to run 3" spacers on the rear to get them to sit like stock... some people run 2"...

you can run 27's without reduction , the wife has 27 Swamp Lites on hers and it will spin them , they are light weight tires , I am sure there are some 27's out there which are heavier and might be more taxing on your bike , ----- I have some IRS aluminum OEM stick rims on one of my 300 2wd's , I have 2 inch spacers in the rear on the 250 rear end and 1" in the front , the front isn't really needed , I have them on there for the disc brake conversion , but you can get by without them if I were to grind the corner off the caliper

I just bought one , 54% , it was $425 , I think $450 is the going price with your core

One thing some might not like about reduction , is that it cuts you top end mph in half , I take off in 3rd gear easily and have shifted for 6th gear so many times and have not found it yet

Only need 18% for 27” tires, won’t loose that much top speed, if any.
