Big gun is ok.And if it's a slippy you really don't need the optimizer.

I just put on on my Trx700 and I like it. The fit was perfect, went on easy, looks good and sounds really good on my bike. I have not totally finished my renovations of the bike so I cant speak to the performance of it. I did get the optimizer at the advise of one of the forum guys. My guess is it should help out the HP a bit and add some protection just in case but I have also heard it is not a totally necessary add on if using the slip on. Hope that helps.

I had the slip on Big Gun on my 400 EX, I liked it, and it sounded really good. Mine had the spark arrestor, it did pass the sound test for GNCC racing. Some aftermarket exhausts sound totally annoying to me, not the one I had.

Using just a slip on without changing the fuel mapping won't give you that noticeable gains. You will hear a difference and feel a slight bit more power. If you got the optimzer too you would feel more power gains.
