Hey guys. I priced out a set of new front axles at a local shop and they wanted $79 for just a half shaft. I want two complete axles. I'm considering getting a set off ebay for roughly $220 shipped to my door plus brokerage fees.

I was just wondering if you guys new a cheaper place to get them. I'm going to keep searching around on the net.

I'm replacing all four balljoints, both axles, and the other wheel bearing. ( I've allready replaced one wheel bearing ) I want the whole front end like new.

I picked up an axle for my 300 from ebay, it was a Gambit Power. 75 bucks shipped. No complaints yet, been on for roughly a month or so now and I ride every weekend.

Well the axles I bought from ebay arrived last week. I'm still away working so I haven't seen them yet, but my wife showed me the box on the web cam. Both are Gambit Power.

I can't wait to get home and get them on and get back out there!

I just bought the ones off ebay from gambit power. The price was right for two and they seem to be solid units. As for bearings, check into the sealed units from Highlifter products. They last about twice as long as the honda bearings. I still pack as much grease around them as possible though.

Well I installed my new Gambit axles today. The install went well. I had to tap the ends to get them in though. ( quite tight for a new snap ring. )

I could only purchase one new balljoint seeing how that is all they had in stock. I didn't have too much difficulty removing it. It was the lower one. I got the new one installed and the right (passenger) side all back together. NO play anywhich way.

Problem is... I couldn't remember which side I replaced the bearing in last aug. So when I did the left (driver) side axle the install went good, and I took the bearing apart and inspected it.. looked and felt good. So I left it. When I went to button that side back together the old balljoints were spinning when I went to tighten them up. I did get them tight and torqued everything I could. When I got that side back together there was still some play up and down. So I believe this would be caused by the balljoints correct??? I inspected the wheel bearing and all seemed good.

So I ordered the other balljoints in, but just thought I'd share what happened today on my install..
