Ok i been running yamha lub in my bike but my dad want to change it so we wondering wats the best type of oilu can run in a 300ex and its weight is 10/40:icon_gd::bling:

yes he did but if you haven't ran gn4 i think that is synthetic or the HN4 is either way one is in a gold bottle and the other is in a black bottle red lable that's the one you want 10w30 is what i use.

The HN4 is the synthetic. You know, I still have never heard a valid reason on why you can't go from synthetic back to conventional...

I have heard that too. I'm the same way, I don't wanna find out that everyone was right.LOL I use Synthetic blend in my cars. But I change the oil in my quad about every 5 hours or after each race.

I dont buy the synthetic hype... I could see maybe in the diffs but not every 3 thousand in the engine. But thats just my opinion.

The 450s are very high revving and high strung motors and very tempermental. As hard as I ride it, I just like the assurance. The 450s recommend them about 10-15 hours.

Yep... During my races I'm bouncing off the rev limiter a lot. That almost 10,500RPMs for 2.5 hours straight.

hay any one know if you can go to walmart and buy just wonderen and red i have change mine in 3 moths and i push my bike hard i hit rev a lot

I use GN4 in mine. I change it every 15 or every 3 months. Maybe change it to much but atleast it gives me a reason to mess with my quad.

No walmart won't carry it. There is a huge difference in tolerance between our motors. Mine is a pure race motor that MUST be changes often. The 400's and below can get away with an oil change once everyother month or longer. My rev limiter is a lot different than yours.

450r motors don't have a huge capacity anyhow. What is it about 3/4 of a qt in the motor. So it needs to be changed more often

my ex gets nothing but synthetic much better wear additives.and you can get it at wally world mobil1 10 w 40 winter 20 w 50 summer and yes its for quads or bikes.like 9 bucks a quart.i heard the clutches like to slip on the 450's with synthetic because they have much more power.
