I've used Clymers and Chiltons for years, but recently I got ahold of a Bentley for my VW, and it's pretty much light years beyond anything either of those first two companies have ever published. It's like a bible for VW owners.

I've just gotten a 250, a 300 and a 400, all of which need work. The 250 will most likely be a complete teardown and rebuild. It was launched into a ditch at full speed, and looks even worse than its owner did, and he punctured a lung and snapped some ribs.

Is there a "best" manual for these machines?

the factory manuals are the best but they are very exspensive. if you want a good manual for a fair price buy a clymer. i have a clymer for each of my bikes.

I have the Honda service manual for my quad they have a little more detail than the non- factory manuals. They are worth the money IMO
