Professionally applied? Very well. The do-it-yourself stuff? It may stick fine (proper prep is the key), but it won't hold up well. It just isn't as tough and durable- it is soft, and very prone to scuffing, rubbing off, and UV light. Over the years, I've tried all of it. Simply, nothing is as good as professionally applied bed liner coating.
I checked a couple of years ago, on a price to get my racks coated. The dealer wanted $200.

I know 2 guys that do it professionally and they said they would do mine for 50 bucks, ask around your town and a guy from the shop might do it for you at home for cheap.

Might get it done for a case of beer, lots of stuff gets done for beer here....lol

Get some Tractor Supply Implement paint and add hardener and do it yourself. Will stick much better than bedliner, is just as tough, and most importantly, you can touch it up easily.

The more I've messed with Bedliner, the more I dislike it. Nothing worse than a Jeep with bedliner in the tub. Rust starts underneath it and eats the whole Jeep.

I use implement paint everywhere most people use bedliner. When it needs to be touched up it takes 5 seconds with a rattle can to do so and still looks great.

I have my control arms, racks on quad done & multiple things on my Xterra done. I love the blue cans of Duplicolor. Works great. Prep is key!

What prep do you do?

I bought some of the new duplicolor bed liner to try... and it was too thick and globby... I like the older finer texture stuff better...

Debating on having my Linex guy just do them instead...

Plan on doing the racks and bumpers... was thinking about the control arms.. but thought that the texture will cause them to hold more mud and make them harder to clean up???

most bedliner sprayers around here want regular prices for the job , but there is one that is very fair about it , he says when he mixes the material to spray a job that he always has a bit left over and has to use it or lose it , so he takes in racks , bumpers and whatevers and sprays them when ever he has extra spray left over , so it can take a while , I was told $125 for front and back racks and the bumper -----I doubt I will ever get it done , it looks good , but I see when people that have it hit a tree with the bumper or push another bike out a hole , it peels off , and there is no touch up for that

I just gave a nice sand on all parts. Any rust was sprayed with Rust Check converter. Primed then bed lined with 3 coats. Longer u let it set before installation the better.
