Stickied! Great idea Jeepwm69!

Thanks for those links Shadowed!

This thread can help a lot of members in the future to locate proper replacements for discontinued or overly expensive OEM bearings. I'll certainly refer to this thread often and hopefully I can help you all populate it over time. My first contribution is an old PDF file from SKF that I've had for years, but couldn't find a link for (download & save or print this PDF in case the link disappears!) until today:

SKF Bearings Master Interchange

The PDF linked above has all of the major manufacturers number/letter codes listed so that we can all decode and identify any manufacturers' bearings! It also lists all bearing interchanges as the title says... its 452 pages and a 5.3 MB download.

EDIT:
Latest (Pub 10000) SKF Rolling Bearings Catalogue (22.6 MB PDF File)

Jeep , here are a few number to compile with my previous post
TRX250A /ATC250ES OEM numbers and sizes ----it would be nice to have a list with all the alternative numbers next to the bearing or seal , I found when looking for an obsolete seal that having a number that was superseded to a new number , that the old number may or may not come up or vice versa , these numbers I listed are the newest numbers that I know , all have a old number also

pinion seal = = 91251-HC5-005 = 38x64x11 ( KOYO) = old number 91251-HA0-013
ring gear side bearings = 96100-60073-00 ( 6007 )
side seal left = 91252-HA0-003 = 35x49x6 (ARAI )
side seal right = 91253-HA0-004 = 35x54x6 (ARAI) = old number 91253-HA0-004
-
pinion bearing small = 91061-HA0-004 = 14x22x16
pinion bearing large = 91061-ME4-004 = 22x56x16

Anyone have any luck finding Japanese made bearings in either 30x54x24 (Foreman) or 30x50x20 (Rancher)? Both are front bearings for the respective bikes.

According to what I could find on the interwebs, NTN makes the Honda bearings I've nosed around and only a couple of places show the bearings, and they're more expensive than they are from the Honda Dealership.....

I did nose around on a somewhat-local place's website and found Koyo bearings cheaper than Honda (same bearings) for most Foremans and Ranchers.

Left rear bearing

Left rear seal

Rear brake drum bearing

Brake drum inner seal (inside of brake drum, going into axle tube)

Rear drum outer seal...this is a 14mm thick seal and the factory is 19mm thick I THINK it will still work but I'll let the experts chime in.

I use Koyo and NTN from local bearing and seal suppliers, they tell me because the bearings are specific sizes (automotive) it limits the sales hence the price being more. Manufacturers buy in bulk so can afford to sell at a marked down price compared to smaller specialists.
This is UK based info, may differ in the States of course.

Makes sense.

I'm guessing the rear bearings I posted above fit a whole lot more models so the bearing houses buy them in bulk.

I've almost always had better prices buying from Honda vs. bearing suppliers. At least on the more specific bearings. Common bearings are different of course. Like the steering stem bearing on a 300 which is a pretty common part. 6004RS IIRC.

I was looking at the bearings on Partzilla yesterday.

Rear bearings for a 350D Foreman $34.06 but when compared to the Koyo bearing I listed above at $20.44 it appeared to be cheaper, BUT after looking closer, it appears that the Honda part has a "X2" at the end and the bearing is either twice as wide or is two bearings....... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-9105...ash=item4674601158:g:LrYAAOSwDOdZ5NIi&vxp=mtr

A single wide bearing that is the same 32x58x13 is only $12 from Honda, so Mac you're right, the dealership is cheaper when comparing apples to apples.

One other note, that means one can pay $36 for the "x2" bearing or buy two of the 32x58x13 bearings for $24 which should do the same thing, right?

Yes, those are identical bearings. If you are putting them in the 350D rearend, just remove one seal on each bearing and pack additional grease in them and install the two bearings with each seal facing out. Thats how Honda did it.

Thanks go to SuperATV for sharing the bearing sizes for their front & rear disc brake kits:

Front for the 2wd kit: 20x42x12mm = 6004-2RS
Rear: 28x58x16mm = 62/28-2RS

(-2RS = removable seals on both sides)

You can source most of the common dust/grease seals used (everywhere) on Honda ATVs from avxseals.com. I have been buying seals from them for a few months now, to repair various bikes that have been dropped off. They are cheaper than OEM even after shipping cost is included and the quality and fit is excellent.

For instance, here are compatible seals for the rearend listed above:

https://www.avxseals.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=38X64

https://www.avxseals.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=42X51

https://www.avxseals.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=42X58

So far I've bought wheel bearing seals, steering stem seals, shock bushing/bearing seals and a few others from avxseals.com. The only downside I've noticed so far is that they'll spam your email inbox from time to time, as most other corps do nowadays.
