A good, fully charged battery shouldn't die in that length of time. How old is your battery? If it's getting pretty old, it might be time to buy a new battery. Also, I would check the ATV to make sure it's charging good.

Some people use trickle chargers or battery tenders on their batteries when they're going to be sitting any length of time to keep the batteries charged and to try to prolong the life of the battery.

The problem with smaller batteries like on ATV's is that they don't have the capacity to store a charge like say a car battery has. And, the charging system isn't robust enough to charge the battery during the short trips many ATVs are used for.

So, the battery becomes discharged and is never fully charged back up. Unless you ride for an hour or 2 every time you start the machine then the chances are the machine never recharges the battery fully. Thats when you should use a battery tender, or just charge it once a month.

a battery tender sounds like a good investment i think ill get one next weekend
Yeah, a battery tender would be a good ideal if you don't ride, at least, every week.
