I bought a 2002 Honda Foreman and in the process of making repairs. I need to replace the upper ball joints. I got them out easy enough but now I can't figure out what tool to use to get the new ones pressed back in.

I called the local Honda shop and they told me it would be between $40-$80 to press them in for me. I would like to avoid that.

Are there any tricks or techniques if you do not own a press? Will the auto presses that you can rent at Auto Zone work or will they be too big?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums. It's a lot easier with a press, but you should be able to rent a tool at an auto parts store that will work.
