Lefty loosey , righty tighty
Funny how that saying is used worldwide!
thing is, this does not apply when you have left hand threads ?, and some parts on honda atvs have left hand threads, case in point, the centrifugal clutch nut on trx300's.

Pretty rare to come across a left handed thread , you have to admit , percentage of all fastners as a whole , maybe 95% to %5 , so let me take a shot at a new saying :

" Lefty loosey , righty tighty , and if that don't work then try it visey-versay "

Old Mopars and old school heavy duty trucks with Budd rims are two lug nuts I can think of that are left handed on one side the vehicle and right handed on the other

I am saying it is rare and when I think about it , I came across one yesterday , on a swivel for air

Old trucks over here used to be left hand side left hand thread, right hand side right hand thread. Going back a bit though, probably late seventies early eighties.
