From the black on your fingers... I'd say the plug boot cover has had it... Just grab one the spades with pliers and work it out last one i took out i used my thumb to push the plug side ways and wrestle it out ... They can be a pita lol!

It is worthless anyways , the wire going to it is very thin

There’s a discussion on it and illustration in the owners manual.
The wires are 16 gauge which are pretty good size for a 15 Amp circuit. However the screws come loose constantly and there’s no room for an eyelet. OEM options came soldered to the terminals
