sank my 420 in the spillway in deep water....have changed the oil 4 times....it is now good.....pulled plug and changed that also....put new air and oil filters...have oil to change differentials...anything else you might suggest

i would drain the carburetor and check the gas tank for water, but other than that i think you've got it covered.

Dont sink you fourwheeler...all terrian vehicle is true, but its made to be on ground. Never a good idea to sink it.

i agree with^^^^^^^ if your in over the tires its too deep. it is fun to go in deep water but all it does is cause problems.

try to keep'em out the water like folks have said. drain your gas tank, and clean your carb good. Next tank of gas you might want put a tid bit of heet in it just to be sure all the moisture has been removed.

might wanna change your spark plug too???

i was lucky last weekend. had my new 420 [2010] in up to the seat. we got it pulled out in time. if u ride alot of water seal air box good and snorkel it

maybe you should consider putting a bigger prop on it..so you can really throw out a rooster tail when you gun it !!!..i sware..when are you folks gonna wake up..and take notice..atv's are not boats !!!!..i do not pitty anyone who sinks thier atv in deep water..you get what you play for !..yeah..i typed that right..i said play for !..sheshh...anyway..back on the topic..fresh oil..drain an clean your gas tank..carb..air box..air filter..check your differental for water in it..proballly need to drain it..and re-fill it. pull spark plug..crank it with kill switch off..make sure your cylinder doesn't have water in it...this will blow any out if it does...and keep an eye on your oil color..if any water is still left in it..your oil will turn kinda milky white.

I was at Powerline Park last month with a couple friends, and my one buddy drowned his 07 Rincon. Wasn't all his fault, we were playing around a muddied up creek when he rode right into a hole. His air box and air snorkel were full of brown water. We tipped it up and let it drain for a few minutes, and it fired right back up. Blew water and white smoke out of the exhaust for about 10 minutes, then it was running like nothing happened. After the trip he cleaned the air filter and spark plug, changed the oil twice and shes running good as new.
