How do you preload the angle sensor for a 2006 Honda Rancher AT 4X4?

We followed the directions post above, but now the ESP light is flashing 5 times. We pre-loaded the sensor, but it won't respond to the rest of the directions. HELP!

Code 5 is angle sensor system "motor lock" Im sure it went into motor lock because you put the angle sensor in wrong, without preloading it.If you keep getting a motor lock code I would take the shift control motor out and see if it moves freely.

The Angle sensor has to do with the shifting of the at and es hondamatic AKA problematic transmissions.

Thats why I hate the there 4x4 quads! More trouble than there worth IMO.

Not like that old 300 fourtrax 4X4 we had. All it needed was oil gas and a clean filter. Its still going A old guy up the road rides it around now.

Yup I don't know what they were thinking. I wish they would just go to a cvt Style set up and scrap there current system...Start over
