I have done a decent amount of research on air scoops and have read both good articles that say they really do work keeping the quad running cooler and other articles and reviews that say the only thing they are good for is placing more sponsors stickers. I have a 2008 400ex if the type of quad matters.

If it's air cooled they really don't matter to much.So in your case they won't help much.If it were a liquid cooled machine they would help directing more air directly to the radiators.

I have read the same articles about the product you are looking at. I am not sure. I really like the way they look.
I would think they would help alittle while the quad is in motion.

Thanks guys, thats kinda what I was thinking, and I am air cooled. I had heard they are good for the 450r's but no such luck for the 400ex.

Agree they doo look pretty cool. get the aluminum flares that mount under the fenders to direct the air to the engine they may help more
