it’s a sealed filter unit made and designed to keep running water in. So it’s guaranteed to keep water out. I didn’t want to worry about trying to seal the factory air box and reseal every time I needed to check or change the air filter. It was about 15$ and I spent about hr testing both factory system and spa filter. I wanted something that looked good and not just factory all siliconed and rigged up and I didn’t want 10 different peace’s and fitting looking like a plumber on meth. Lmao. And with other mods like my 400ex rear shock conversion I had to lose the factory air box for clearance. Just another one of my genius ideas. Air box to spa filter conversion test complete
Let the test results show, I am the father of the air box to spa filter conversion!? Is there a way to post videos on here?! No to many people thought this mod was gonna pass. But after some testing on the factory air box and tuning the spa filter with foam I got it to the exact same flow as the factory box and filter. Mock up for start up test and rev test. And WALLA! Idled perfect for about 10 mins, rev perfect any way I mashed or held the throttle.

my thoughts exactlyI choked a bit on the price, BUT they work, and beats the heck out of siliconing every time I want to take the air box lid off.
