I have a 3 wire tach i want to add and I've not used one before however remember people saying to wrap the tach lead around the plug wire and let it induct. That isn't working out, so how am i supposed to do it? I have a black green and yellow. The green should be hot and black ground with yellow the tach, pretty sure thats right.

Is this for the 300? Just wondering if an OEM speedo would be an easier fit?

Unless your quad has a crank position sensor your never gunna be able to make that work. Your computer dosnt know the rpm and without a sensor that does its sadly impossible. Aside from the single wire wrapped around the plug wire ones that honestly dont work very well. Its close but not exact like a car has. My .02

I got one of them Tiny Tacks that work off the pulse thru the wire are great for tuning and such , but as a device to put on the bike while moving they are useless to me , my eyes are not that good and there is a second delay in the reading ----- so you wrapped the wires around the spark plug wire and nothing happened a !

I run the same brand (searon) as Rick does handy way to keep up with engine hours , and rpm, if you go that route imo id get one with a refresh rate of 0.5 a sec for rpm
