i have an 87 250x with a DG exhaust on it, the pipe was there when i bought the quad so i have no idea what jets are in it but its dialed in very well, i was considering a new UNI air filter... if i put this on with airbox lid vents will i need to do some carb work? also i was wondering about changing my tires from 22" to 20"... will i need to change gearing at all? any advice or tips would be great

Welcome to the forums. 20x11-9 tires for the rear are great I run Maxxis Razrs and I Love them. I used to run ITP Holeshots but the side bite on them was too tough. If you put the Unit filter on your jetting will be somewhere around 130 main 38 or 40 slow jet.

TRX2five0 is right 20x11x9s are a good idea. you'll probably lose a little top speed but you will get more power with them. i have maxxis all-traks on my 300ex and i really like them.
