Hello,
This problem occurs randomly, and I cannot replicate it on demand. It is a very loud, sharp bang during rear braking. The first time it happened I thought I kicked a rock up, but it has happened a few times since. I have had this atv for only a few weeks, have gone through all the fluids and the rear drive looked good and fluid looked good. Rear brakes work and stop fine otherwise, but they are towards the end of their life based on the indicator. Looking for some advice before I order replacement rear brake parts, I have done some basic searching and most rear brake issues do not describe my symptoms. Thank you for your help.

tear the rear brake cover off, drum off ( make sure the o-ring is out between the axle and drum ! ), have a look at the brake shoe area. if nothing is wrong there ?, chances are, your rear diff needs inspecting !.
