Looking for some friendly advice before I tear into the carb again. My son's 250 was running well, until the battery died. After it sat for 2-3 weeks, we put a new battery in. Now it turns over well, has gas and spark, but will not start. I just cleaned the carb last year, but that probably is going to be my next move. Any other things to check before I do? Appreciate any help I can get. thanks

Welcome to the forums. The carb probably needs cleaning, but you could remove the sparkplug and pour a little gas down the sparkplug hole directly into the cylinder and see if it tries to start. If it does, you know for sure the carb is stopped up. When you pour the gas in through the sparkplug hole, quickly put the plug back in and try to start it before the gas evaporates. Make sure your kill switch is in the "run" position.

i would use a can of starting fluid if your atv won't start on the carb's gas..this will tell you ..you got fuel issues..never let a carb set for a time period..without either running it...or draining it..and welcome to the forums.
