I currently have a 99 300 4x4 I'm looking to try to make the steering lighter for my wife she's Road the two-wheel drive version and like how Nimble it was. So the question is should I buy the 4x4 disconnect or by aftermarket power steering? Second question what factory rims that are 12" that will fit on my quad?

Welcome to the forums :)

The 4x2 lockout will be a better solution in the long run and cheaper, a lot of guys on here use them and rate them highly. There are a couple of brands which appear to be equally matched in quality.

As for Wheel choice you have a few options, stock wheels off a foreman 500 or 450, ITP delta wheels or you could opt for aftermarket alloys. The Delta’s are 1” wider than stock.
Remember if you opt for stock wheels to get them from a SRA machine not IRS as the offsets are different.

I agree^^^^ with both sam and jeep, I have. 424 kick out, best mod I've done to date. Easy peasy to install. Fish runs a couple as well..... He'll probably chime in, lol

My wife has 2 300's a 4x4 and her spare 2wd , the 4x4 has a 4x2 on it , it is like night and day easier in 2wd to me , she has a bit of a problem taking it out of 4x4 , and I would keep the tires narrow in the front , the wider you go the harder to steer , 8's for the dante' , petite ladies I would suggest , the bull dogs can ride 10"s , I had some 26 Outlaws wides on the front of hers and it was killing her , went to 27 Swamp Lites and narrower in the front and it is much better ----------- the 2wd is much easier to ride than a 4x4 thats kicked out to 2x4 and she really likes the 2wd better , but knows better and hates to get off the bike so she rides the 4x4 ---- I have never heard of power steering on a 300 yet

I have a wide open lock out and it stopped working. Actually it’s the second one I have purchased that stopped working it is stuck into will drive I cannot get mine into four-wheel-drive. Both units worked great until they broke. Considering putting the stock front driveshaft back in it unless I can find an easy fix I’m hoping it’s something stupid that I am overlooking
