I was wondering if it's alright if I run 25-8-12 tires on the front and 25-10-12 on the rears. I asked the guy at the honda shop about how it's set up with 1" smaller tires on the front. He said it wouldn't hurt anything if I went with 25's all the way around. I was planning on buying new rims as well. What do you guys think? How are most of you running your 300 4x4's? Thanks for any advice.

im interested in running 25" gators or the dirt devil 2's. Are 8" wide tires the standard for rubicon pull off tires?? Reason i ask is im running the stock aluminum 12" rubicon pull off tires and wheels. Dont want any rubbing issues or considerale lack of power. I've never bought just tires to put on a bike. Only now am i considering it since the fronts are bout to smooth over. Hopefully some dedicated 300 owners will comment. What are the draw backs of riding with narrower rear tires???

Like Blowfish stated, a lot of people run the same size tires and say they have no issues. Personally, I never would do it, but I ride on quite a bit of asphalt and was afraid it would damage my diffs or transfer case, eventually. If I never rode on asphalt or anything hard, I wouldn't have a problem doing it. Most people that are running the same size tires are putting a little more air in the rear tires to try to make them taller to make up for the difference.

I don't know much about the Gators or Dirt Devil 2s. I've run regular Dirt Devils and they were OK, but I thought they rode a little rough. The Dirt Devil 2s might not be that way.

I believe the Rubicon has 8 inch wide front tires and 10 wide rear tires, from the factory.

Thank's for the info Helmut. Do you think I would be ok as long as I did air up the rears more then the front's? ITP mudlites don't come in a 24x8x12 tire. They make a 11 from what I saw on the website last night. Thanks Again

I can't guarantee anything, but seems like a lot of other people are running them like that and aren't having any problems.
