Well..... I've been given 1st take on this one, my neighbor dave.... Has all the sudden desided to sell his 97 300 ..... I Was on my way to get some bearing ordered, so i can get back to trucking grain.... And out of the blue dave calls me..... Says he needs to sell his 300, told me he's going to place an add in two weeks (not giving any clues) $1500 for the public.... But .... Said ill sell it to you for $1200.... He just purchased a city water meter truck.... Needs money i reckon... Anyways what i know is wrong.... Needs brakes all the way around, and probobly cables, >master is good< they work, but not too good, it has a cheep Walmart battery in it, the fender flares are gone (never had any) kick starter cover is missing , all the boots are good, he did put on new oem tie rod joints, the upper/lower ball joints are good, motor sounds good! no smoker NOR uses oil, the rear axle hubs n splines ,AND front cv joints are tight! ...she's a bit rough looking, has the same size tires front and back ..some dings, and bends on both the front bumper both racks, the handle bars look a bit tweaked, (bendable with a cheeter pipe) however, i didn't get a chance to look at the air filter foam condition, but ....the inside of the gas tank....... NO rust or corossion of any kind! I'm sure ill need to spin some wrenches on her.... I figure $1200 maybe just a tad high by $200 ..... Here's a pic.... I've fixed the lights on this machine, and rode it (a while back, had no running issues at allll).... Like i stated i have two weeks to choose, keep in mind (for you felas that know) I'll be getting my old 86 trx 350 back free. I'd like to them have both.... I dont see a loosing deal here.... My old 86 just needs a oem carb refresh..... And 4 new shoes... , i stoped by my local pawn shop, a showed tim the pics.... He said it would bring $1400 ..... More pics later ...

Looks great if it’s mechanically sound then the rest is lipstick and rouge!
Fender guards $400
Wheels $200
Tires $300
This one needs some corrosion control! $100

NADA is not a good indicator but it lists my 93 at $2460 in excellent condition and $1620 in good condition.
If worth $2000 in exc condition then $1000-$1200 is good i think.

If you know the owner and know it hasn't been used as a boat I'd jump on it.

$1200 is market for a bike in that condition when you don't know the owner or the history. Still a CHANCE that it's been sunk, but no signs of it.

If you KNOW it hasn't been used as a boat, that offsets the negative on the little stuff.

Exactly ^^^^^ boated or not .....? here's another pic... I don't think it's ever been boated .... At least i know dave, nor his wife never did, The previous owner (original owner) purchased it brand new.... For farm chores... He's a Maury county deputy officer .... I know him too!

Im not saying too much more.....lol! He might be lurking in the forums.

Got it! He Also tossed in two foot gaurds and a spare tire... And just as i thought the inside of the gas look perfect... As did the foam air filter! The brakes do work (front and back) but... they do need some work.

More pics later.
