Also noticed that it does same thang when shifting into reverse..

Clutch pulls fine definitely ant slipping..

Last clue i got..is that when its n gear and not running.i pull clutch to push it out of way it wont roll. unless shifted to neutral..

i measured plates & springs the were fine according to the specs..

Please any ideas???

It sounds like your clutch cable isn't adjusted right and it's not completely disengaging. Try adjusting your cable up some more.

A lot of ATVs will do that when cold, but once they warm up, they should quit. If not, the clutch cable probably needs to be adjusted up a little.

Just like an automatic car if it's idled up too much and everything in the engine is turning (the gearbox is connected you know) it will jump a little. It's an easy test just Idle it down to a nice purr and try it if it still does it adjust the cable you want about 3/4 to 1" or so free play in the lever before you feel the clutch enguage

Yes it should roll if you pull in the clutch that tells me you may have your cable out of adjustment as Helmut stated

according to my manual you will have that much free play when you try to pull it in, I'm think the same thing you are "that seem like alot of free play" lol. If you pull the lever in and you travel more than 1" to feel resistance then you need to tighten the cable up

adjust the clutch cable to when you pull the handle bar lever..it should roll..and disengage the tranny..you should be able to pull the lever in just a little bit..to disengage the clutch.

just checked clutch lever.. It doesnt hav any play.
what i mean by play is..loosen the locking nuts on the clutch cable holder ( these are down near the motor housing )..so when you tighten the other nut..it pulls the clutch in more..this should disengage the clutch when you pull the handle bar lever.

Correct^^^^ start at the source and work your way up to the lever. I was assuming the engine side was correct sorry.

I adjusted cable couple time..I loosened up cable on the motor..pulled it towards the left far as it would go or the direction of the clutch lever on handle bars.

Then had to loosen clutch lever up. got sum play now in lever. but clutch still just ant quit right close but not quit right.

This mean i should change clutch cable?

Prob should have done both when i had it apart..but clutched measured good..

Your clutch could have some grooves wearing into the tabs as a temporary fix you can file them down but you will be needind a clutch basket in the future.
