Cause 4 a Rookie, YouTube how to'er it's mind boggling..lol..it's the first quad I ever owned..my great beloved mother bought it for me when I turned 15 in 1997..she has been passed for 14 yrs this month and I decided to tackle it one way or the other..it has been setting in shed for about 8 yrs..and getting all the kinks out of it is tough.trying to get it to fire up hasn't been easy..i need someone that knows what's going on to help me on a few ??'s

Well, there are sport bike experts here that can help answer your questions. There are utility bike experts that will offer help as well when they can. You can get a service manual for your 300EX HERE.
Does it have spark? Need a carb cleaning? Motor seized up/needs rebuilding? Start a new thread in one of the relevant technical forums, list the year & model of your bike again, why it was parked (and how long) and every issue you'd like to fix... and we'll be right along...
