My 300 wont start. The reverse light stays on. I will go through the gears back to neutral and the red reverse light comes back on and no fire. It happened once before and didnt think much about it because I put it in first the back to neutral and the green light came on and started. Sure could use a little help.

look on the right side under the brake pedal you will see a wire leading behind a cover, follow that wore to the other side of your quad. It's best to remove the seat and fenders. you should be looking for a gray and gray/black. unplug that wire (two wires) from the harness cut you a piece of wire about 2 inches long strip both ends and plg them into the harness side then try to start it.

Yes it will the wire leading under the brake pedal hooks to the reverse sensor if it is bad it will not allow your quad to fire by by-passing it you have closed the circuit allowing your coil to fire, my quad is bypassed now I'm not worried about reverse lockout I know how to use the reverse...lol

If it starts would that tell me that the switch is bad?
