ok guys so i bought the quad about 2 months ago and after some riding i wanna change the oil but have no clue where the plug or filter is this is my first quad so i dont much about them also how do i know if i have enough oil i was told to check it with the dipstick screwed in and by others with the dipstick unscrewed thanks for any help

The plug is on the bottom of the motor.There's a whole up through the skid plate.And the filter is on the right side of the motor behind a little cover.And make sure you screw the plug in to check oil levels.

The filter should be on the right side of the quad under a cap that is held on by three bolts. Make sure you out it in the same way it comes out and do not over tighten those bolts either. That is why I like the manuals, it gives you torq specs.

You don't screw the dipstick in to check the oil level. Here is what the repair manual says:

Place the vehicle on level ground.

Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick and wipe clean.
Reinstall the oil filler cap/dipstick, but do not tighten it.

Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick and check the oil level.

If the level is below the lower mark on the dipstick, fill the crankcase with recommended oil.
