Hello,

My son and I rebuilt the engine in our 92 TRX200. The neutral light comes on in 4th gear, the reverse light in 3rd gear. So it starts in 4th. I had to replace the cover so I would like to fix the problem. I thought that if I turned the switch arm 180 degrees it would work properly but still lights up in 4th gear. Any ideas would be appreciated.

pull the cover back off, look on the neutral switches plastic cover, there is a letter N stamped on it, the longer end of the tang faces this letter, then simply put the cover back on. sounds like you have the switches tang out 180 .
