Hi guys.
I have a 91 trx 350 4x4 . They stopped importing them into the U.S. In 89.But continued to import them in canada. I'm having cdi problems. And I'm having trouble locating a replacement. Does anyone one know if a earlier one will work?
Thanks

Can you post some pics of your 1991 model? Does anyone know why they continued making them until 1993 in Canada?

Good question, Mac, Goober, or Retro can probably can answer it, I'd like to know the answer myself.

Hi folks. Just a guess but i think could be there was the plan to build TRX300 in the US and perhaps competing models made in Japan would be sent to another market until the run was done
Yeah that could be the case, does anyone know if they sold the trx300 in Canada when it was released in the US in 1988? I Actually came across a light blue colored 1993 trx350 down here in Louisiana a couple years ago... The guy said it was shipped down from Canada.

Yeah there’s a thread titled Blue Ball @mac102004 mentioned 93 was the year a Zenith Blue TRX350 was offered in Canada

BTW I prefer to think of it as Toronto Blue:)
Zenith was the only colour offered in 1993, one year and done on the 350's. Southern blue was also never sold in Canada.

I love reading about the history of these old tanks, makes you wonder why certain colors were offered in some places and not others. Also if you notice and correct me if I'm wrong, none of the Canadian models had the digital fuel gauge but they had the wider fender flares.

I think the flares were all the same here in North America, the flares on the overseas models may have been larger. The 350D Foreman was never offered in Canada, I think that one had the fuel gauge on it? My knowledge on the Foreman version is a bit limited since we never had any lol

Haha yeah I know what you mean. I think you're right that Canada never got the foreman model, but starting with the first model in 86 the trx350s up there came with the wide fender flares whereas the first trx350s in the U.S. came with the narrow ones. When the foreman model came out in 87 they added the digital fuel gauge, wide flares and removable headlight. I always liked how the Canadian models came with the side reflectors front and rear.

I would post some pics but it's really not worth it.. the plastics are basically destroyed. Were like that for the most part when I got it. I really only use it to plow snow

Meier used to have a picture with an 87 and new Plastics. Looked real good. Fenders have integrated mud guards so you don’t need them anymore. They don’t have the Foreman style (wide flares) and I didn’t see the Foreman front headlight subassembly. Comes in blue too.
