I've been hearing slight clicking noises from my trx250x I've been thinking if it is a cam chain tensioner I found a manual one don't know anything about them Honda 85-87 TRX 250 Fourtrax 87-92 TRX 250X 93-Up TRX 300EX 87 ATC 250SX 86 ATC 350X ATV Timing Cam Chain tensioner manual adjuster CCT – pazoma this would be one of them

Slight ticking? Try valve lash adjustment. A manual cam chain adjuster is a solution to a problem that may not exist. If yours is the same automatic adjuster as in the 95 Trx300fw. These are the usual brilliant Honda design and I don't know how they could be improved upon. Unless maybe give an easy indicator of cam chain stretch.
