Hello everyone.

I ride my bil's fourtrax quite a bit. Two of the boots have split and i was going to replace all 4 of them. He bought one from Dennis Kirk, not sure which one but it only lasted about a year til it split around the crease.

Any recommendation on boots?

Does anyone know the difference between the inner and outer boot?

What are the diameters (shaft and CV housing)?

I read that on certain polaris models that you can get the cv boots from the local auto parts store. Don't guess that will work here. Maybe i can find some.

Welcome to the forums. I always buy OEM boots from the dealer, so I wouldn't be able to answer your question, but maybe someone else can.

i am with him on this one. if those boots lasted that long why not go back and buy the OEM's? mine have lasted since 98. thats 12yrs.. when they go, and soon they will, i am going to buy oem. you pay a little more but the quality is almost garanteed.

Yea, the original boots lasted quite a long time. Last time i went to a dealer they didn't have the kits in stock and wanted to sell each clamp and grease individually and nickel and dime me to death. I'll look into it again.
