I've a 91 trx300fw I use on my farm. I've never had an owner's manual. They are unavailable from Honda or Helm (the publisher) I've been looking for several years now, and even e-bay has never listed a 91 om. Everything else of course. My question: Is a 90 or 92 close enough to be useful? At what point are the engines/drivetrains, wiring etc different enough or maybe I should say is there another year that would work for me, like a 90 or 92? I have a factory shop manual but that really doesn't cover routine maintenance etc etc. Thanks I know there are significant differences because I've been trying to find a front wheel drive disconnect, Warn 424, and have been told only the early 90s unit would fit.

the warn 424 is discontinued..they don't make them anymore..if you find one..and install it..i don't think you will be able to get parts for it ???..have you tried clymer manuals ?..they might have one for your bike..aslo..try here http://www.allmotormanuals.com/ this is where i got my service manual for my 89' trx 350d 4x4 manual from..see if they have one for yours.

Yeah, they discontinued the Warn 4-2-4 Select, but you can still get parts for one. I would say that the '90 or '92 owner's manuals would be the same as for the '91. They made some changes in '92 with the 2 wheel drive models. They changed the cam and exhaust pipe and they changed the front suspension and frame. I don't think they changed much with the 4X4 models, though. As far as maintenance goes, they all should be about the same, anyway.

By the way, I wouldn't buy the Warn 4-2-4, unless they say it is for your particular model, because they are application specific and it probably won't fit.

I know this post is from March, but in case you still haven't found one, the 1990 owner's manual should be the same as the 1991. There are some differences in the 1992 models. Here is a link to an owner's manual for the 1990 model.
