i am having a ton of trouble getting my 91 250x to start.
i have good spark and it seems like it wants to start, just wont.

it has a .50 bore with 12:1 compression (domed piston) and i have a GNCC race head on it. the head is ported and polished and has everything done but bigger valves.
I was told i should use race gas (108 octane) with this setup, and thats what is the tank.

what can i do to try and start this? i believe that the reverse is bypassed, but not completely sure.
any help would be great!!

I agree. If it's been sitting for any length of time, try cleaning the carb.

i also have a 400ex carb that i want to put on it, but dont know what to jet that at either. i know how to work on them, just dont know what jets to use!!

Moose or Billy should be able to help you with the jetting when they get on here. They both fly the 250X.

Well with an over bore high comp piston and a P&P head you'd probably need a 42 pilot and a 130-135 main.
