Are you saying that the two wires that plug on the ignition coil have continuity from one to the other one? If that's what you're saying, then no they shouldn't have, because one is a hot and the other is a ground.yes i have repair manual did the checks i think the coil is bad but the wires when i pull them off and check them they have continuity is that ok or is their a short some where
Not really sure, but I would say a bad wire or about any component could short out and cause that. I know that's not much help, but I would start out with the kill switch. I would bypass or unhook the wires to the kill switch and see if the wires still have continuity. If that doesn't do it, then I would check each component in the ignition system and then the wiring. I've never seen that problem before, so that's about all I know to tell you. Maybe someone else will have an ideal.yes its wire to wire that i have continuity if not kill switch what else could cause it
Check the resistance of the coil with an ohmmeter. The procedures are in the second post above.what do i need to check the coin or the coil wires and check for what voltage or continuity
