So it was riding fine parked it to put some gas in it and then it wouldn't spark. Both wires going to the coil are grounded out. Unsure if this is a cdi issue or if it's the kill switch on the handle bar messing up

Have you replaced the hacked up and cobbled harnesses (all of them, including all parts with cobbled wires/plugs) yet? Can't help you until you do, sorry. :-(

I know this is random replying 6 months later but I ended up pulling the harness doing some repairs to it put a new CDI box spark plug and coil and the bike runs great now
