I'm replacing the cv axle on my 88 and need to know after I separate the ball joint from the lower arm can it be reattached or am I better off buying a new ball joint? New to this...

if the lower ball joint is not bad ?, then I see no reason you can not re-use it. if you do have to replace it ?, DO NOT USE ALL-BALLS BRAND NAME !!!.
