I was given a Honda TRX350 that is in great shape. Put a new CDI in it and it fired right up. The only issue I have is restarting when hot. When it is cold it cranks fast and starts right up. When it is hot it cranks slow. Still starts but just curious what might be the cause.

Thanks,

Jim

Nice rig
Try replacing your choke valve; if it’s worn the enrichment circuit will have a little leak. Your plug sooty?

take your old CDI and dry it out in an oven. Connector side up; 200F (no more) for 3 hours at least. Let it cool and then install to see if it works.
