Sorry about that I thought I made one post for every group but yea the guy I got it from said it was a 300ex but the tag on frame says 250 and everyone I’ve talked to says they didn’t have reverse and this thing is way faster than 250 or 300

Square tube frame so its a 250x,300ex or 250r frame. Looks like a 300ex motor but hard to tell from picture. It has a dimondjcustoms 400ex conversion in the front. Stock 400ex pogostick front shocks and a-arms. Full bore plasric and i can only imagine alot more. Clean build there. Welcome to the forums!

No apologize necessary I wasn't trying to get on you about it, I just wanted to let you know one is good all post will show up in active topics. The 250x and 300ex had reverse someone correct me if im wrong, the early 400ex did not. It sounds like you probably dont have 250, if you can post some pictures of the engine someone here will be along that knows more about it. Also would it be possible to contact the previous owner to see what was all done to it but maybe they just bought it that way and thought they had a 300.

Well that is a 300ex jug for sure. But the only difference from the 250x to the 300ex is stroke if im not mistaken.(Been a good bit since i had a 300ex or 250x) appears to be in really good shape. Almost looks like a new motor. I really like the enginuity with the reverse lever. Normally its a handle that came up the side by your knee. They adapted a shift lever for it.
