Just getting started on a 87 Honda TRX350D Fixer upper that has been sitting for years. Ordered Oil Filter, Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Battery. I read on the Forum that the oil has to be Wet Clutch Oil. Looking at the Manual it calls for 10-40W Honda Four Stroke oil or equivalent. But the Spec calls out SE or SF which is standard car 10-40W. Do I need to go buy special oil? I have 10-40 in my garage. It cranks fine. Plastics are in rough shape. Coasted it down my driveway and seemed ok. Like I say, just getting started.

I use Honda GN4. Gets me into the local Honda shop because those guys live to see these old tanks too
You can find other JASO-MA oil at Walmart—some of it is a generic brand.

Don’t put that filter in backwards it only flows one way!
if it’s been awhile and your old oil looks nasty, then maybe buy some of the cheaper oil and do a flush first.
Other thing always try to buy OEM parts
