Hi all,
So I recently inherited an '86 TRX350 (I was drawn here by some very helpful threads from Pain) and among other issues there a couple gaping holes in the muffler. The best deal I could track down for an OEM muffler was around $260 on www.hondapartsnation.com. I also found a used one on eBay for $180 which I'd rather steer away from, and then I found this Cobra aftermarket muffler for $150 (also found it here for $112, but the first site has a better description).

I was wondering if anyone had experience with Cobra exhausts, or thoughts about whether it's worth the extra to go OEM. I'm mostly just concerned about smooth function/easy installation.

Thanks!

I don't know anything about cobra, but thought I would give you a warning about the TRX350D.

The D is the 1987 model. It's the foreman that came out in 87, and yours and mine is the 350 fourtrax. For the majority of parts, they will interchange, but some of them won't.

Just be sure you know what you're getting before you buy it.

BTW. Show some pics!

OH, and I'll send you a .pdf of the owners manual if yours doesn't have one.

One more thing. In addition to the site you linked [honda parts] and bikebandit, there is Cheap Cycle parts that have pretty decent prices.

Stay away from the Cobra exhaust they rust out pretty fast, had one years ago on a 185 3 wheeler it lasted about a year and a half.
