I have an 86 TRX350 that is dumping fuel out of the carb. Had it taken apart, cleaned, rebuilt with a new rebuild kit, but is still dumping fuel out of overflow tube. Any thoughts/suggestions? Also, any suggestions where to buy another carb if I'd need one? Thanks, much appreciated!

Clean it again, sounds to me like the needle valve isn’t doing it’s job correctly, that or the float level isn’t correct. Float level can’t be adjusted however the float can be replaced.
Been here myself several months ago with a 250 carb took 4 or 5 attempts before it was clean and stopped leaking.

Also, what brand rebuild kit did you use?

A no-name brand I got on ebay. I was going to order a new kit, possibly from Bikebandit and see if that makes a difference. Also thought about putting the carb through a sonic cleaner and see if that helps clean it out at all.. Not sure if thats a good move or not. Any suggestions on where to get the best carb kit/ replacement carb that isnt a chinese import?

if the drain screw is tight ?, then your float needle is sticking open, dirty seat ?, bad float needle ?, trash stuck in the seat between it and the float needle ?.

It has an aftermarket fuel pump on it, but its been on in the 10 years I've had it. Never seemed to be an issue before.... but could that possibly cause an issue?

I was going to buy this rebuild kit and go at it again...

That a decent kit? Suggestions on another site to grab one?
aftermarket fuel pumps is a no no !. go oem from honda, or don't put one on it !. they still can be had from honda, don't be cheap..spend the bucks, do it right the first time. I use shindy carb kits or oem, but mostly shindy.

So I've cleaned it again, used a Shindy carb kit, new OEM fuel pump, new float. It stopped dumping fuel out, but now it wont idle. When I start it up, it goes to almost 'red line' if it had a tach. Tried adjusting according to the book, no better..... Any thoughts? Im at a loss.

I found that old fuel pumps that hadn't seen fuel in years would continue pumping garbage into my freshly cleaned carb even after several hours of run time. On two old bikes, I must have pulled the carbs to clean them 3-4 times before I decided to just drain the float bowl using the drain screw. Eventually it must have flushed all the crap out because it stopped happening completely after about 12 hours of use.

First things that come to mind are the throttle slide linkage might need to be adjusted. It might be assembled wrong, hanging up, linkage rod bent, the washer missing, or the set screw loose or tightened in the wrong spot on the shaft. The service manual shows how it has to be assembled and adjusted afterwards. See the attachment...

A hung/leaking choke plunger might be a contributor.
