I picked up this quad in New York a few weeks ago and have slowly been putting it back together and it's just about complete I am now missing a few parts that I need to know where you would get them from, they are little odds in ends. The first would be a lug nut for the front drivers wheel, only one. I also am in need of the bolt connector thing that holds the front plastic, gas tank center cover, and gas tank collar together(pic below). Is it just a bolt or is there a special connector or what do you use? I am also missing the "hub caps" for the rear wheels. Another issus is the headlight works except the wire from the harness to the light does not reach when the light is mounted is there a wire extension that I am missing or should it reach?

Need
- 1 Front Lug
- Gas Tank Collar Bolt(?)
- Rear "hub caps" x2

If you have any input please let me know or if you have a part your willing to sell also let me know.

Thanks,
Arcticcat340

You got that old gal looking pretty good! Great job!

Partzilla is a great reference for finding out which parts will interchange with others. The front lug nut is still available new and is found on a lot of newer models too, so you can buy it new or used... eBay is a good place to scrounge for used parts and is especially useful if you search by part number. Scroll down a bit on this page to see the lug nut interchange list:

90314-VM0-771 NUT, WHEEL $4.47

The tank cover bolt you are missing might be number 33 on THIS parts fiche..? I can't be sure...

The two rear hub caps are obsolete but you can probably find them on the auction site used... or NOS if you are lucky:

44733-HA8-680 CAP, RR. WHL CTR

Thanks for sharing those pics!

Welcome to the forums!

EDIT:
The headlight harness might be routed wrong under the front fender somewhere.. causing it to be too short? Maybe you've already checked that out though.

If you download the service manual you will find illustrated parts breakdowns and wiring/hose placements.
If you're like most of us you want the OEM parts because of fitment and performance expectations--unless there's a better part.
Partzilla, Rocky Mountain atv and Escondido Cycle Supply Honda East Toledo all have online IPBs cross referenced to part numbers--and prices. Your challenge will be many NLA (no longer available). Partzilla has the most interactive OEM partsfinder.

I use the most popular auction web site almost exclusively for used/NOS parts; you may also check out local atv salvage yards--some salvage entrepreneurs also list on eebae

Good luck happy riding/wrenching and let us see more of your vintage Honda!

I'm pretty sure the top tank cover has two 10mm bolts either side towards the front and the rear just clips into place. I could be wrong, I'll check later and post a pic for you. The hub caps fit off any Honda ATV I beleive, and so do the lug nuts, again I'll double check and post back.
It's great that you've picked up this machine which is pretty much complete, those tank collars are usually missing. The only thing I can see is the front fenders seem to be set quite far back, the fender steadies want bending forwards an inch or two.

I had thought they where bent far back too but wasn't sure. Last night I was able to install the front inner splash guards I guess you would call them and could see that holes on the fender where definitely not lining up so I will try to get that adjusted tonight. Thanks for the input everyone!

So over the course of last night and this morning I was able to get the front rack rubber mounts installed, the headlight, and rear fender support. I also started painting the storage compartment frame to be installed soon. I still need to get the front fender bottom support installed and also the toolbox. As far as I know that's the only things I'm missing
