I have a TRX200SX that broke a cam chain. It looks like the oil pump chain jumped off the oil cam and wedged the shaft. After inspection, when the oil pump shaft is fully inserted, the cam will wobble. What is the best fix for this? Has anyone else seen this problem before?

replace the oil pump, or replace the pump cam shaft is what I would do.

Your motor...

There is a tin cover that keeps that oil pump chain running right. Even a brand new chain is still sloppy.

If you have the cover and the chain is still coming off, I suspect thast motor ran low on oil a few times.

Most all the parts are DC'd, I have a couple new and many used from the 87 200X....
