Just purchased from a friend who had the sub-transmission apart to repair the chain. I got the TRX running but it tries to go in reverse while it is in first gear. Anybody got an idea? Much thanks.

the sub-transmission isn't put back together right..you should get a service manual for it..tear it down..and put it back together the right way..and pray none of your gears are stripped out !!..they don't make them anymore.
