I think there all 2wd up until about '89.
85 to 87 are all pretty much the same parts wise according to the manual, most parts are interchangeable.
The one we have I can't be sure on an exact year but it's definitely an 85 to 87.

Thanks shady. I have seen somewhere an 88 TRX250, just wondering if that was an error or if that was its year of sale rather than the year it was manufactured. Wonder if they continued sales of them here for longer?

Big Red floats around in different markets , a Big Red to me will always be the ATC250ES ( three wheeler )

The name tags are funny aren't they, a Big Red to me is always an early 300 fourtrax.
