I think there all 2wd up until about '89.
85 to 87 are all pretty much the same parts wise according to the manual, most parts are interchangeable.
The one we have I can't be sure on an exact year but it's definitely an 85 to 87.

'85-'87 is all they made for the 2wd trx250 utility in the states here.

then in '86 Honda came out with the trx350 fourtrax 4x4. in 1988, honda started producing the trx300fw, bigest seller of all time.

Thanks shady. I have seen somewhere an 88 TRX250, just wondering if that was an error or if that was its year of sale rather than the year it was manufactured. Wonder if they continued sales of them here for longer?

by Honda, '87 was the last year they made the trx250 back then. now, it's common for other places other than usa to have new models ?, like Canada sells the old trx350 up until '93 I think it was ?, but that won't help you when you walk into a dealership up there, and tell them you need parts for it ?, because they will not find parts listed for that year/make ?!, they can only go back as far as 1989 trx350D foreman.
