Hey guys,

Just got a 86 350, when I make really really sharp turns it sometimes makes a clacking noise from the front. Not sure if it’s differential or joints, is this common on these? Any info would be appreciated!! Thanks

Click link below to get the service manual.

Very first thing check the diff (final drive) to see if you have enough oil in it.

Next, lift up the quad , get all the wheels up and give a few shakes see if you can establish what’s clanking

I have an electronic manual but I prefer the printed copy. I think you can save this one as a pdf and print it—but the wiring diagram might be hard to read from this. Otherwise great value!!!
My preference was to buy the service manual on fleabay.
The greatest value here is the membership, so welcome!

cv joints on the front drive axles are common for this noise your hearing. they wear out over time. discontinued parts today, your stuck with salvage yards or places like power sports nation for used parts, or ebay.
