Hello fellas I'm new here and was hoping someone could help me out or point me in the right direction. We recently encountered a key switch problem on our 3 wheeler, it works when it wants too. So I called the local honda shops and they say this switch is no longer available, and to check ebay or a salvage yard. Which brought me here figuring someone could help. I was thinking if they was a way to rig up another type of switch to it from the autoparts store or a lawnmower type key switch.

Any help would be useful. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums. Yeah, you can rig up another key switch from another ATV or even a lawnmower or tractor. You would just have to figure out the wires and it would depend on the key switch, but it can be done, because I've seen lawnmower and tractor key switches rigged up on them before.
