Will a later model headlight panel like 88 and later bolt on to an 86? Looking at
Led lighting options and looks like the later models are much easier to modify just because of light size availability. Looks like on the later style one can mount the flush dually style leds easily and a 4.5”x2.25” light is a pita to find... any help is appreciated

no. the lights from a 1986 will not interchange into anything later. 1986 sub-light panel is way different than the later years. and its called the front grill :).

Yeah, I know the lights are different. That’s the point. The question was if the grill (sublight panel) which is separate from the plastic, from a later year, would bolt on to the 86? It’s obviously different than the 86 was curious if mounting and body lines were the same. Interested in swapping to the later style if it’s a bolt on. If not, no biggie...

Yeah, I know the lights are different. That’s the point. The question was if the grill (sublight panel) which is separate from the plastic, from a later year, would bolt on to the 86? no, they are way different, won't work. if they would ?, I would have done it years ago !..lol. even the lights won't swap, they mount different to the fender. the front fender on the 1986 is totally different that the later years.

yw, yeah..been down that road, honda loves to change things for us...lol.
