I recently bought an 85 TRX 125 that may or may not have an issue with the steering. I was wondering how much play (if any) should it have? It seems I can turn the handlebars 3 to 4 inches each way before the wheels start moving. I have briefly looked at everything under the hood but don't see any issues. I use it to tow stuff around my property and sometimes it doesn't turn tight enough for me. Sorry for possible dumb question. This is my first quad :grin

I don't think you should have that much play, check at your front tires and see if your tie rods are shot...

Not a dumb question..you need to check your entire front end.. with that much play you probably have multiple issues..

Thanks guys. I will take a closer look once the weather warms up some. I get maybe 30 minutes in the shop before my hands turn into ice cubes even with gloves on.
