Ok so this just started... on my 84 trx200 the neutral light stays on with every switch & the ignition off and even with the key out... It didn't start until I accidentally had the positive side sparking against the frame. I don't know if that is the cause but after that is when it started. It doesn't stay on in gear thankfully.

It sounds like either the ignition switch is bad, or the wiring harness has fried wires touching each other.

The Yellow/Red wire coming from the ignition switch powers the neutral light on when the neutral switch provides its ground. So test the ignition switch first, then check the Y/R wire (between the IGN SW and Neutral light) for a possible short with the Red wire (Battery +) going to the IGN SW. See the attachments...
